How and/or where did you start comedy?
I started in college. My first open mic was in the food hall of our campus' freshman dorm at the University of Rochester. It was terrible you could hear the patrons ordering the buffalo chicken ranch paninis (local favorite) during my entire set; but I fell in love with comedy. And got to enjoy a buffalo chicken ranch panini after.
What inspires you or drives you?
There is nothing else I want to do. Comedy is my first and backup plan. Plus, it's really fun to make people laugh.
What is some advice you would give to aspiring comics?
Keep going. There is a space for you, you just need to find it (and sometimes create it).
Are there obstacles you've faced and how did or do you persevere?
There are obstacles and challenges in every aspect of life. Life is hard. What matters is how you handle those challenges. Also, always stay true to yourself. Compromise when it's appropriate but don't compromise yourself.
What's something awesome that's happened to you recently?
I had the opportunity to headline in my hometown. Getting to tell jokes about the people I love to the people I love and have them laugh is pretty f-ing dope.
Are there some big accomplishments and or credits you're proud of and would like mentioned?
Having the opportunity to headline at Comedy / Bar in Seattle. It's a really awesome club with a great team, in the heart of Seattle.
